Embrace Change

Do you find change challenging?

Do you struggle to take consistent action?

Have you started projects or programs, only to stop midway?

Or perhaps, you never quite get started at all?

This isn’t just about weight loss, fitness, or health.

It could be about keeping your space organized.

It might be about taking a course to broaden your knowledge or even completing your degree.

It could be about starting a business, planning for retirement, or simply getting outside for more walks.

Yet, every time you begin, something holds you back.

You say it’s something you want to achieve, and you can picture the satisfaction it will bring.

But still, you don’t follow through. Why?

It’s your brain doing its job!

There’s a concept called “homeostasis,” which means our bodies resist change.

Our bodies prefer the status quo.

If your goal is to change your body, your brain might resist, trying to keep things the same.

Change feels daunting and uncertain.

Staying the same feels safe and comfortable.

So, how can we break this cycle?

Remember, beliefs are decisions. You can rewire your brain with a new choice.

Instead of saying, “Every time I get consistent with my workouts, life throws me off track … ”

Try this: “I’ve decided to stick to two workouts a week for the entire month of September.”

Soon, two workouts a week will become your new norm, and your brain will help maintain it.

You can apply this to your diet, household tasks, or professional projects you’ve left unfinished.

Make a new decision and enjoy the benefits of better results.

You’ve got this!
