Failure is good

Let’s talk about failure for a moment.

You’ve probably been taught that failure is bad, right? Something to avoid at all costs?

What if I told you that failure is good?

And that not only is it good, it’s essential for your ultimate success.

Think about it. If you’re hitting all your exercise and nutrition goals 100% of the time, are you really succeeding? Or are you just playing it safe?

Always succeeding might mean you’re stuck in your comfort zone. And growth? That happens outside of it.

Remember, to be good at something, you first have to be bad at it. It’s a necessary step. You can’t skip it.

Take fitness, for example. If you’re just starting out, you might feel clumsy or weak. That’s normal. It’s part of the process.

Embrace being bad at it in the beginning. It’s the only way to become good.

And here’s where the magic happens:

Once you’ve been at it for a while and you’re feeling pretty competent, don’t forget how it felt when you started. It’s a powerful reminder of how far you’ve come.

It also shows you that no matter where you are in your journey, there’s always room to grow. Always another level to reach.

Failure isn’t the end. It’s a stepping stone. A learning opportunity. A chance to get better.

So next time you fall short of a goal, don’t beat yourself up. Instead, ask yourself:

– What can I learn from this?

– How can I use this to improve?

– What’s my next step?

Remember, the people who never fail are often the ones who never try anything new. They never push their limits. They never grow.

Is that really success?

Not by my definition.
