No Such Thing As Failure

When people say they’ve tried fitness routines in the past and failed, they’re basically making things up.

There is no such thing as failure.

Failure is the meaning that we’ve given to an experience.

And while we preach the importance of having a timeline on your health and fitness goals, just because you didn’t achieve the goal within the time you prescribed doesn’t make you a failure.

It just means you’re not finished yet.

Starting an exercise program or diet plan and not sticking with it 100%?

That’s not failure … that’s success.

Failure would be not starting in the first place.

All of us hit bumps in the road, and experience periods of time when we’re not as consistent as we should be.

That’s not failure.

In fact, failure doesn’t exist unless you allow it to.

Do you have the perception that you’ve failed along the way in your health and fitness journey?

Your perception may not be the reality.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. Do one thing today that will move you closer to your goals. And then do the same thing tomorrow … and the next day.

That’s not failure … It’s success.
