Trust Yourself

Whether you’re just starting out or have been training with us for years, there’s one thing that can really hold you back: a lack of trust in yourself.

For newcomers, it often shows up as worrying that you’re “doing the exercise wrong” or fearing you “won’t be able to stick with it.”

First, rest assured that it’s our job as coaches to ensure you’re exercising correctly and safely. You don’t need to worry about that. As for sticking with it, if you’ve struggled in the past, it’s natural to feel anxious. But remember, not sticking with it isn’t a fact—it’s a belief and a decision you can change 🙂

For those who’ve been with us longer, this often surfaces during the summer. With a vacation on the horizon, you might feel the urge to squeeze in extra workouts, thinking you “lack the discipline” to exercise on vacation or “can’t resist” the buffet.

Again, these are beliefs, not facts. Once you realize that changing your decisions can change your behavior, life becomes much simpler.

Here’s a final thought on trust:

If you find it hard to trust yourself, maybe it’s time to reconsider some of the beliefs and decisions you’ve made. Change them, and watch your self-trust soar.
