The human body is hard-wired to adapt to the demands we place on it. Feed it a steady diet of inactivity, processed foods and excess weight, and it will dutifully respond by packing on fat, losing muscle and stiffening joints. Essentially, accelerating the aging process on the inside and out.
But give your body the right inputs – consistent exercise, whole nutritious foods, quality sleep – and it has no choice but to positively transform. To build strength and cardiovascular capacity. To become more flexible, mobile and resilient. In many ways, to grow biologically younger.
This isn’t hyperbole, but scientific fact. Our bodies are incredible adaptive machines, just waiting to be programmed by our lifestyle choices. So it’s time to stop accepting poor health as “normal” or “inevitable” after a certain age. With the right lifestyle, you can negotiate with Father Time and, basically, tell him to “buzz off.” 🙂
