Superfoods for better immunity

As we navigate cold and flu season, bolstering our immune system becomes a top priority. The good news? There are a couple of things within our control that can make a significant difference.

Enter “superfoods.” These nutritional powerhouses, rich in vitamins B, C, D, zinc, and selenium, fuel your body’s immune response.

And let’s not forget, it’s not just about COVID. Cold and flu season is here, and your body needs the right building blocks for defense.

Variety is key in nutrition. Building a strong immune system requires  “harmonious interactions” among different micronutrients. Set a goal to include a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy oils (think olive and avocado) in your daily menu.

And here’s an extra immunity tip: Exercise. A strong and resilient body means your immune system won’t have to work overtime to fend off invaders.
